Minnesota high school baseball players didn’t have the opportunity to play this season including scrimmages within their own team, so the Minnesota High School Baseball Coaches Association decided to change that. The MHSBCA and the St. Paul Saints have put together a 2020 Senior Salute Baseball Tournament at CHS Field.

"I’m happy to see our seniors have a chance to play this season. Under these strange circumstances this season has left a huge void for these players and just to have them out playing again has been a great thing for all the players involved," said Matt Mossey, Coon Rapids HS baseball coach.

"When I found out we were going to have a chance to play I couldn’t text my coach fast enough to let him know I was interested," said Xander Paar, Coon Rapids senior infielder.

Paar will have a chance to further his baseball career when he attends Iowa Lakes Community College.
