Bloomington Jefferson softball routs Robbinsdale Cooper

The Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars softball team defeated the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks 15-0 in four innings on Wednesday afternoon at Dred Scott Fields in Bloomington.

The Jaguars started off the scoring right away when catcher Macy Gregor hit a solo home run to make it 1-0 in the top of the first. Sophie Rouland then added a two-RBI single to make it 3-0. Jordan Fasching added a two-RBI double to make it 5-0 Jags.

Hannah Peters added an RBI single to make it 6-0. Jackie Larsen added an RBI double to make it 7-0. Then, Gregor, batting for the second time in the inning, hit a two-RBI double to make it 8-0.

Finally, Brooklyn Matas scored on a passed ball and error to make it 9-0 after the top of the first inning.

In the top of the second, Larsen had an RBI single to make it 10-0. Gregor added to her big game when she hit a two-RBI single to make it 12-0. Larsen then scored on a passed ball to make it 13-0. Then, Hannah Effertz had a sac fly to make it 14-0 at the end of the top of the second.

In the top of the third inning, Larsen hit an RBI single to make it 15-0 Jefferson. Jefferson pitcher Lauren Giesen pitched two scoreless innings.
