Banham leads Lynx past Washington in preseason opener

The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Washington Mystics 79-68 in their preseason opener on Saturday afternoon at Target Center.

The Lynx were led by Rachel Banham, who played 27 minutes, going 7-15 from the field and 5-10 from the three-point range, finishing with 23 points. Banham also had three assists and three rebounds for Minnesota.

Jessica Shepard returned from a torn ACL and was the only other Lynx player in double figures, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
