On Monday, former Austin basketball standout Both Gach announced he's transferring to the University on Minnesota.

Gach picked Richard Pitino's Gophers over Auburn, Creighton, Iowa State and Maryland. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists for Utah during the 2019-20 season. He's seeking an NCAA waiver in order to be eligible to play for Minnesota in the 2020-21 season.

He helped lead Austin to the Minnesota Boys' State Basketball Tournament as a junior where they lost in the Class 3A championship game.

We talked to Gach in April about his game, and his decision at that point to test the NBA Draft waters. Click here to see our chat with him, and to see him in action.
