6’8" offensive tackle Cameron James commits to Gophers

P.J. Fleck’s 2021 recruiting just added some major beef to the offensive line on Sunday when 6-foot-8, 280-pound offensive tackle Cameron James announced his commitment to the Gophers via social media.

James attends Simeon Career Academy High School in Chicago and is the Gophers sixth four-star recruit in the Class of 2021.

"This decision wasn’t easy but I felt like it was the best option for me," James posted on his instagram account.

James also had offers from Michigan State, Missouri and Indiana, among others.
