#5 Bethel women’s hoops remains unbeaten, defeats Macalester

The #5 Bethel University Royals women’s basketball team defeated the Macalester College Scots 82-41 on Saturday afternoon at the Robertson Center Gym on Bethel’s campus.

The Royals were in control of the game from the tip. They led 20-12 after the first quarter and 46-24 at half. Senior guard Haylee Barker led the way for Bethel, pouring in 15 first half points. She would finish the game with 24 points and seven assists. Freshman Kat Brown-Erdal and junior Elizabeth Schwarz each scored 12 points for the Royals.
With the win, Bethel improves to 19-0 overall and 14-0 in the MIAC. The Royals are trying to snap St. Thomas University’s five consecutive MIAC Conference titles.
