3M Open preps for 2022 Tournament

The 2022 3M Open July 21-24 will have a full field, including the 2021 winner Cameron Champ. It was Champ’s third tour victory of his career. There are three majors winners in the 2022 field: Danny Willett, Jason Dufner and Lucas Glover.

Tournament Director Hollis Cavner is always looking for story angles and one that should captivate fans is the presence of Mardy Fish, an Edina native, who’s a retired professional tennis player. He will be in the field with a sponsors exemption.

“This guy can play. He will not embarrass himself. He’s a great golfer and it provides an interesting storyline as we get closer to the tournament,” said Cavner.

This will be the fourth year for the PGA Tour event in Blaine at the TPC Twin Cities.
