Two-time defending champ Breck advances to Class 1A state championship

Olivia Mobley had four goals to lead Breck School (24-6) to a decisive 9-1 victory over Rochester Lourdes (18-11-0) in the Class 1A semifinals of the Girls' State Hockey Tournament Friday at Xcel Energy Center.

The Mustangs scored at least twice in each period, and out shot the Eagles 46-16.

Eighth grader Hannah Halvorson added two goals, and senior defenseman Emily Zumwinkle chipped in with three assists.

Senior forward Sarah Travis got the lone Eagles goal.

Breck will now face Cloquet-Esko-Carlton in Saturdays Class A Championship game at 4:00pm on 45TV.
