Stillwater girls basketball advances to Class 4A semifinals

The Stillwater Ponies girls basketball team defeated the Park Center Pirates 82-52 in the Class 4A quarterfinals at Williams Arena.

Stillwater started fast, jumping out to a 18-4 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half. Ponies point guard Alexis Pratt set the pace for her team. She scored 23 points, had eight rebounds and six assists. Liza Karlen had a monster game on the boards, pulling down 15 to go along with 19 points. Grace Cote also had herself a big game, adding in 16 points for Stillwater.

For Park Center, Adalia McKenzie led the way with 18 points. She holds many college offers, including from the Gophers.

Stillwater faces the tough task of playing Hopkins in the semifinals.
