St. Paul Harding football wins first game since 2016

The St. Paul Harding Knights defeated the St. Paul Humboldt Hawks 8-0, in overtime, on Tuesday evening, securing their first win since 2016.

On the first play of overtime, Harding sophomore quarterback Robert Htoo threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to junior wideout Mesai Smith-Brewer to put the Knights ahead. KSTP Sports caught up with the Knights Wednesday afternoon at their practice.
Third-year Knights head coach Otto Kraus said the win still has not quite sunk in yet but is happy for his team and players. Senior Emmanuel Hawkins got his first win in his high school career and said he has been getting lots of texts from family and friends on the win. And, Htoo said he was nervous going into his first start, but felt confident in the end.
