Minnetonka beats Roseau 7-2 in state quarterfinals

Minnetonka beat Roseau 7-2 Thursday afternoon at Xcel Energy Center in the Class 2A quarterfinals of the Girls’ State Hockey Tournament.
The Skippers jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the 2nd period. Roseau then closed within 3-2, but Emily Bayless scored her second goal of the game to put Minnetonka up 4-2 heading into the second intermission. Minnetonka then scored three unanswered goals in the third period.

Bayless added an assist two her two goals and Minnethonka Lacy Martin had a goal and two assists.
The 3rd-seeded Skippers face #2 Andover in the state semifinals at 6:00 p.m. Friday night in St. Paul.
