The Fire started the scoring when senior Charlie Lindberg hit senior Marc Lund on a breakaway to make it 1-0 Holy Family with 12:06 left in the first period.

In the second, Fire junior Nick Blood took a rebound from a shot and scored to make it 2-0 Holy Family with 7:59 left. Chaska immediately got that goal back when just 20 seconds later, senior Sully Scholle’s shot was stopped, but junior Jack Seaverson was there for the putback goal to make it 2-1 Holy Family. But, Holy Family would have an answer for that goal not even one minute later when Lund found senior Jacob McPartland for a Fire goal, making it 3-1 with 6:50 left in the second period.

In the final period, Holy Family senior Luke Roelofs got his shot stopped, but Lund was there to clean it up, making it 4-1 with 6:16 left in the game.

Holy Family would add an empty-net goal to make it a 5-1 final.
