Eagan Legion baseball takes down Minneapolis Southwest at the Stars and Stripes Tournament

The Eagan Patriots Post 594 Legion baseball team defeated the Minneapolis Southwest Lakers 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Delano Municipal Stadium Stars and Stripes Legion Wood Bat Baseball Tournament.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when Southwest catcher Alex Barloatsis hit an RBI double to make it 1-0 Lakers.

But, Eagan would answer right back in the top of the fifth inning when center fielder Alex Lachemeyer hit an RBI single to make it a 1-1 ballgame.

Then, in the top of the sixth inning, Eagan second baseman Griffin Ruiter had the go-ahead hit when he ripped an RBI single to make it 2-1 Patriots.

From there, Eagan pitcher Lincoln Berry was able to get the remaining six outs to give the Patriots the 2-1 victory. Berry pitched a complete game, giving up only six hits.
