SPPS to move some students to hybrid learning on Oct. 19

The St. Paul Public School District announced that it is preparing to transition the first round of students from distance learning to a hybrid model starting on Oct. 19.

The school district said it met all 23 of its readiness targets to transition "Stage 1" learners to hybrid learning. That includes students in these seven learning models:

  • The Downtown School (JDC)
  • Care & Treatment program
  • Hospital program
  • Bridge View
  • Focus Beyond (Pathway 1 and 2)
  • River East
  • Journeys

The school district will make a decision on Oct. 14 whether any students in Stages 2-4 will be able to transition to hybrid learning on Nov. 16.

Families that don’t feel comfortable sending their kids back to the classroom just yet still have the option to continue virtual learning for the rest of the year.
