Shooting critically injures Meeker County man; 2 arrested

A shooting Sunday night left a rural Litchfield man critically injured.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office said it was notified at 10:58 p.m. that a gunshot victim was brought to a hospital.
The victim, identified as 34-year-old Tyeson Schaumburg, was airlifted from the hospital to Hennepin County Medical Center.
An initial investigation indicated the shooting happened in the 23900 block of State Highway 22 in Litchfield Township, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities arrested two people in connection to the shooting: 18-year-old Carl Leaf and 18-year-old Jaden Kramp. They were booked at Meeker County Jail.
The investigation into the shooting remains active.
