Sheriff: Man survives after being pinned under tree for 4 days in Redwood County

Authorities in southwestern Minnesota say a man survived after being pinned under a tree for four days.

According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called just before 4 p.m. Monday on the report of a man who was trapped under a tree.

Deputies learned the man, identified as 59-year-old Jonathan Ceplecha, was cutting a tree when it fell and pinned both his legs.

First responders learned that Ceplecha had been pinned under the tree since Aug. 27.

Two hours after first responders arrived, Ceplecha was airlifted to a hospital.
