Authorities have identified the man killed following an Aug. 4 shooting in Minneapolis' Ventura Village neighborhood as 37-year-old Robert Alan Taylor Sr. 

According to Minneapolis police, officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting the sound of shots fired and an adult man down in the area of 19th Street East and Elliot Avenue.

When officers arrived they, located the man, later identified as Taylor, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man did not have a pulse and was not breathing, so officers began CPR. 

Taylor was transported to Hennepin Healthcare, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
