New St. Paul digital campaign urges support for local restaurants

A new marketing campaign in St. Paul is urging people to support local restaurants during the pandemic.

The city partnered with the St. Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority and Visit St. Paul to launch Dine St. Paul.

The mostly digital effort aims to showcase the diverse array of restaurants in the city while encouraging the public to support local restaurants and breweries.

Residents can register online to receive weekly emails with restaurant suggestions and enter for a chance to win daily restaurant gift card giveaways. St. Paul restaurants, chefs and owners will also be highlighted on Visit St. Paul’s social media channels, and those who share photos of themselves dining, ordering takeout or delivery from local restaurants using the hashtag #DineSaintPaul may have their picture featured on Visit St. Paul’s social media.

"While we have work to do rebuilding our local economy amid the enduring impacts of this pandemic, supporting our local restaurants is a critical part of ensuring our city’s ongoing vitality," St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter said. "Join us as we Dine Saint Paul and help ensure all of us continue moving forward together through these challenging times."
