Hennepin County to purchase Bloomington hotel to house those experiencing homelessness
Hennepin County has purchased a hotel to help house those experiencing homelessness during the pandemic.
The county purchased the Extended Stay America Hotel at American Boulevard and Lyndale Avenue, according to the city of Bloomington.
Hennepin County looks to use CARES funding for new protective housing
Residents who are currently residing at another hotel are expected to move into the Extended Stay America.
Ramsey County exploring leasing part of Bethesda Hospital
According to the city, the hotel will house residents who are elderly or have preexisting conditions. It is expected to be used through the duration of the pandemic.
The county is using money from the CARES Act to purchase the hotel.
