Guatemalan woman sentenced to prison for illegal reentry, false representation of social security number

The United States Attorney's Office said on Thursday a Guatemalan woman, who was previously convicted in a 2008 crash that killed four students in Minnesota, was sentenced for other crimes committed.

United States Attorney Erica H. MacDonald said Olga Marina Franco Del-Cid, 35, has been sentenced to two years in prison for illegal reentry and after removal and false representation of a social security account number. France Del-Cid also will serve two years of supervised release. She previously pleaded guilty on Feb. 3.

According to court records, Franco Del-Cid was previously removed from the United States on May 4, 2016, following a felony conviction on Aug. 8, 2008, in Lyon County, for criminal vehicular homicide. On Nov. 26, 2019, Franco Del-Cid was found in the country in violation of a previous removal.

She also admitted to falsely representing a social security number on an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.
