COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 63 new deaths, 4,847 new cases

Friday, Wisconsin health officials announced 63 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 3,625 deaths since the pandemic began.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 202 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 17,943.

A total of 404,555 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 4,847 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that more than 2.58 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 32.7%.
