Cascade Bay Waterpark in Eagan closed for the summer
City officials have voted to close a water park in Eagan for the summer due to COVID-19 concerns.
According to a Facebook post, Eagan city council members decided to close Cascade Bay Waterpark due to the "inability to create proper spacing for the number of daily visitors" as well as "the uncertainty of opening dates" and the virus's impact on "hiring and properly training staff to operate the park."
"We know how much the community values Cascade Bay Waterpark, so it’s being closed only after exhausting every effort," the post states. "But we assure you, we are going to come back stronger than ever in 2021!"
The water park's closure means Little Mates classes have been canceled, the Captain's Course Miniature Golf course and Cardio Bay are closed, and birthday parties and private rentals will not be allowed.
Full refunds will be available for season pass holders.
