2 rescued from house fire in Marcy-Holmes neighborhood

Fire crews rescued two people from a house fire Saturday afternoon in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood of Minneapolis.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, crews responded to a fire around 3 p.m. on the 700 block of 8th Avenue Southeast.

The fire was located on the third floor, and firefighters rescued two people from the second floor on a ladder. A few pets were also rescued from the home.

No one was seriously hurt, according to fire officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
