1 killed in Maple Grove crash

A person died Tuesday after an early-morning crash in Maple Grove.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was headed west on Highway 610, east of Interstate 94, when it drifted off the road and rolled over into the center median at about 4:42 a.m.

The driver of the Chevrolet wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time and was killed.

The crash report lists the driver as a 21-year-old from Birch Run, Michigan. His name will be released at a later time.

Snow and ice may have been a factor in the crash, the report states.
