Warm and muggy weather expected Thursday, severe thunderstorms possible Friday

Thursday will be very warm and muggy with an isolated thunderstorm possible, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Ken Barlow.

Thursday will have a high of 86 degrees and a low of 70 degrees.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny with some breeze. The day is also expected to be warm, and muggy with a few thunderstorms likely, said Barlow.

According to the National Weather Service, a few of the thunderstorms on Friday will possibly be severe starting Thursday night from western to central Minnesota.

The larger thunderstorm threat is expected to come Friday afternoon with the possibility of tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds.

As for the weekend, Saturday is expected to be less humid with an early rain shower. Sunday is expected to be partly to mostly sunny with low humidity.

The high on Sunday is expected to be 78 degrees with a low of 60 degrees.
