UPDATE: Tornado warning for Kandiyohi, Pope, Stearns counties has expired

A tornado warning that was issued for Pope, Kandiyohi and Stearns counties in central Minnesota expired at 8:30 p.m.
The National Weather Service says a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was spotted 7 miles southwest of Brooten moving northeast at 40 mph. The storm was expected to be near Brooten around 8:15 p.m. and Belgrade around 8:20 p.m.
