Thunderstorms with potential hail and tornado warning expected Saturday

The warm and humid air from the Twin Cities is expected to create some potentially severe thunderstorms with large hail and tornado risk south of Minnesota on Saturday, according to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas.

Yuhas said the greatest risk for large hail and possibly a few tornado warnings would be along a line from Forest Lake south to Rochester and east into Wisconsin.

As for Sunday, the weather is expected to be calmer and cooler, with temperatures hitting into the high 60s. Sunday is also likely to be breezy.

Next week, the temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s and 50s with potential rain scatterers.

The first significant scattered frost around the Twin Cities will look to be around Oct. 4 and fall colors are expected to be strong too by Oct. 2 through Oct. 12, said Yuhas.
