Temps to reach 60s Sunday in early March warmup

This weekend, those in the Twin Cities will be able to relax their shoulders and shed those heavy layers as temperatures approach the 60s, according to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas.

Yuhas said the high on Sunday is expected to be 64 degrees. He added that the last time the temperature rose above 60 degrees in the Twin Cities was 138 days ago on Oct. 20, 2019, when it was 67 degrees.

Yuhas said the average high for this time of year is in the upper 30s.

Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny and breezy, with a high of 58 degrees.

Sunday, which is also when Daylight Saving Time begins, will be sunny and breezy once again.
