After a light coating of snow Friday, we’ll see more sunshine Saturday before a system that will produce a larger amount of snow moves in Saturday night into Sunday.
KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl said Saturday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid-20s.
However, Saturday night and into Sunday widespread snowfall is expected across the state with southern Minnesota expected to get 6+ inches. In the Twin Cities, 1-3 inches is expected with lighter amounts farther north.
Looking ahead to next week, a mix of sun and clouds is expected early on with chances for more snowfall returning Wednesday night into Thursday.
