Rain and thunderstorms are expected to develop once the weather cools down Tuesday night, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl.

Dahl said that the strong thunderstorms are expected to be in northern Minnesota and there might be a few drops in southern Minnesota late Tuesday night.

Wednesday is expected to be humid with some sun. The temperature is expected to rise to 91 degrees.

More rain and thunderstorms are expected to occur late Wednesday into Thursday in southern Minnesota. There is a slight risk of those storms becoming severe, said Dahl.

Thursday is expected to be humid and partly cloudy with chances of rain. The temperature is expected to drop to 85 degrees. Friday is also expected to drop in temperature, with the high being 79 degrees.
