Severe weather is expected to affect Minnesota this weekend but some more pleasant conditions are also likely.
KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas says storms are likely to move into western Minnesota, near Alexandria and farther north, by 9 a.m. Saturday before moving into the metro area after 11 a.m.
Yuhas says some of the storms could cause damaging winds, hail, heavy rain and even tornadoes. The most likely time for severe storms in the metro is between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The high Saturday is expected to get up to 88 degrees with the low dropping to 66.
The good news is Sunday looks much nicer, with lower humidity and high temperatures in the low 80s.
Looking ahead to next week, Yuhas says Sunday’s weather will stick around for at least the early part of the week. Some scattered storms are expected Tuesday.
