Saturday will be hot and humid with some thunderstorms developing in the west and north of the Twin Cities, according to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas.
The developing thunderstorm is expected to become severe with high wind, hail and heavy rainfall in the afternoon, said Yuhas.
The thunderstorm’s risk is expected to increase Saturday night and into Sunday with more severe thunderstorms possible Sunday.
Sunday is expected to be very humid and partly cloudy with a high of 88 degrees and a low of 68 degrees.
Next week, after the weekend, it is expected to calm down with the weather being mostly sunny to partly cloudy.
The National Weather Service also stated the outlook for the weather during the weekend is to increasingly become strong to severe.
Please stay weather aware this weekend as strong to severe storms are possible both days. The outlook for today was adjusted slightly to include more of west central Minnesota. #mnwx #wiwx pic.twitter.com/VxxhwmRyWG
