The pattern of spotty rain showers will continue to close out the three-day holiday weekend.

On Monday we can expect some patchy fog in the morning and on-and-off rain and storms throughout the day. Chances for showers are higher in the morning and evening, but we can expect some breaks during the day, KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell said.

The high on Monday looks to be just shy of 80 in the Twin Cities — we could hit that point for the first time this year later in the week, Mitchell said.

Chances for precipitation start to diminish on Tuesday, and we’ll have dry weather from Wednesday on this week.
