NWS determines EF0, EF1 tornadoes struck Hubbard County last Friday
Thursday, the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office announced that the National Weather Service in Grand Forks determined an EF1 tornado struck the county on Aug. 7, leaving widespread damage in the area.
The NWS determined multiple weak funnels and a brief EF0 tornado likely touched down three miles west-northwest of Park Rapids at about 7:30 p.m.
From there, the storm moved east and an EF1 tornado touched down about three miles west of Nevis between 8:05 p.m. and 8:25 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, no injuries were reported from either of the tornadoes.
