Nothing says spring quite like Mother’s Day, right? Well, you couldn’t tell by the weather this year.

KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell said we could see a faint dusting of snow overnight into early Sunday morning. If it’s measurable, it would be just the second snow report on Mother’s Day in the Twin Cities since the holiday was founded in 1908.

For the rest of the day, expect some strong winds with gusts reaching up to 30 mph and a high of 48.

We’ll see some frost again overnight into Monday, but then conditions should start to look more like spring. Sunny skies and a high of 55 on Monday begin a steady warming trend that carries through to the weekend. Look forward to highs around 70 by Friday.
