After a pleasant day Sunday, Monday won’t be as nice.

KSTP Meteorologist Wren Clair said hotter and more humid weather returns Monday, as does the chance for some severe weather.

The storms have the potential for heavy rainfall, damaging winds, large hail and even a few tornadoes. Clair said the majority of that severe weather should stay to the west and northwest of the Twin Cities before 10 p.m. By the time it reaches the eastern part of the state and western Wisconsin, it is expected to be in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Clair said isolated storms will stick around Tuesday before we catch another brief reprieve from the humidity and high heat, which will return by the end of the week, again.
