Sunday kicks off a stretch of hot summer days with plenty of chances for scattered thunderstorms, according to KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell.
Expect mostly sunny skies Sunday until the late afternoon, when showers and storms are likely to roll through the Twin Cities. We’ll have a high near 90 degrees during the day.
For the rest of the week, expect above-average high temperatures hovering around 90 degrees. According to Mitchell, this heatwave could be enough to bring this June into the top 10 hottest on record for Minnesota.
There are decent chances for thunderstorms and precipitation for each of the next several days as well.
