Your air conditioner might get a decent workout on Sunday, when we can expect some hot and humid summer weather.

There are some chances for isolated storms early Sunday morning around the Twin Cities, but once that system passes, we’ll be left with a warm front, which will bring a high temperature near 90 degrees, according to KSTP Meteorologist Sam Ryan.

Monday will be even hotter. Expect lots of sun and a high in the mid-90s, Ryan said.

Heading toward the middle of the week, we start to see some high chances for rain and possible thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday. Those storm fronts will cool us off a little as high temperatures fall to the 70s for the remainder of the week.
