Residents in southeastern Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin are waking up to a freeze warning and frost advisory Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures dipping into the 30s overnight created frost and freeze conditions that could kill sensitive vegetation.
The alerts, affecting several counties in Minnesota and Wisconsin, are in effect until 8 a.m.
Meteorologist Sam Ryan says Friday is expected to be sunny and cool, with a hazy sky due to western wildfires.
