A stretch of colder-than-average temperatures will begin Thursday and wind speeds are also expected to increase.

KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl said high temps will be in the low to mid-40s Thursday with partly cloudy conditions.

While Friday and Saturday are expected to reach the 50s, the colder temps are likely to stay here through April 18, Dahl said.

This weekend into Monday, chances for rain and snow will also increase.
