As summer is beginning to wind down in the Twin Cities, so are the temperatures.

On Sunday the high will remain below 80 degrees once again, according to KSTP Meteorologist Sam Ryan. Expect partly cloudy skies and some light winds throughout the day. There is a 40% chance for thunderstorms late at night.

Looking ahead to Monday, the high will struggle to reach 70 degrees, and the low will dip into the mid-50s. Thunderstorms are projected for the morning, and some could be severe, Ryan said.

Tuesday looks to be much nicer, with a high around 74 and sunny skies, but more storms are possible Wednesday night, Ryan said.
