Cold weather continues into Wednesday with snow expected later in the week

Heavy snow will be falling over the southwestern part of Minnesota and the area is likely to end up with 2 to 6 inches of snow, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl.
For the rest of the week, temperatures are expected to be in the high 30s and low 40s, Dahl said.
Wednesday is expected to be sunny with a mix of clouds and a high of 40 degrees and low of 24 degrees.
Some more snow is expected on Thursday, with temperatures dropping, making the high 37 degrees and the low 18 degrees.
Going into the weekend, the weather for Saturday and Sunday is expected to bring some more rain, sleet and snow.
