Cold, dropping temperatures expected throughout the week with possible snowfall over the weekend

A few inches of snow are expected to fall over the weekend. According to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Ken Barlow, the snow will likely be lighter and fluffier than the slush Minnesota received last week.

Barlow says Thursday will be mild in the morning, then become windy and cold around midday with a few flurries. The high on Thursday will be 32 degrees, but then dropping to 20 degrees by 4 p.m.

The low on Thursday is expected to be 5 degrees with a 0 to -10 degree wind chill.

Friday is expected to be mostly sunny and very cold, with a high of 12 degrees and a low of -1 degrees.

Going into the weekend, Saturday is expected to have snow developing with a possible 3 to 6 inches of snow and then continuing into Sunday but clearing out gradually throughout the day.
