Showers and storms are expected to continue overnight as flash flood alerts are in effect for several counties across southern Minnesota.

A slow-moving line of storms moving across Sibley, Nicollet, Le Sueur and Scott counties is producing heavy rain that could lead to flash floods. A flash flood warning is in effect for the area until 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

On Sunday, we have chances for showers and storms all day, but the highest chance is in the afternoon, according to KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell. We’ll have a high temperature of 86 during the day, and clearing skies and cooler air is in the forecast for Sunday night.

Look forward to more comfortable conditions in the week ahead with lower humidity and highs in the low to mid-80s, Mitchell said.
