Midweek clouds, light Thursday rain and a gradual cool-down into the weekend

Good evening! We have an elevated fire risk across the Upper Midwest this afternoon and evening, so please hold off on outdoor burning if you can. Today has been another gorgeous early spring day with highs in the mid-60s for most of central and southern Minnesota, and western Wisconsin. Tonight, cloud cover increases and winds are light and variable at times, but predominantly light out of the northeast late overnight. Overnight lows are in the upper-30s for most of the Twin Cities.

High temperatures tomorrow are again in the mid to low-60s, and mainly cloudy skies. Light spotty rain showers are possible overnight Wednesday into Thursday. The best chance for rain will be south of I-94, with about 0.1-0.2 of an inch of rainfall possible for the Twin Cities. These rainfall totals are not guaranteed though, as the steadier rainfall with a shot of 0.25″+ of rain will be across far southern Minnesota closer to I-90.

Temperatures cool back into the low-30s by Friday morning, with the slight chance for a spotty rain/snow mix mainly before sunrise Friday. Highs are in the low-50s Thursday and Friday, with a windier stretch of weather late Friday into Sunday. Temperatures continue to cool over the weekend, with highs in the mid-40s Saturday, and mid-30s Sunday.

Have a wonderful night!
