Few spotty showers tonight into tomorrow, with storms possible closer to I-90

Good evening! High temperatures today were again in the mid-60s, just a few degrees shy of the Twin Cities’ record high temperature of 67° (reached in 2012). We keep the chance for a few light and spotty showers overnight, mainly across western and northern Minnesota, with just the slight chance for the metro.

A stronger storm system brings the threat for severe weather towards Missouri, southern Iowa, and much western Illinois as well as Oklahoma. A few scattered storms are possible overnight into Thursday morning along and south of I-90. The track of this system has shifted southward, meaning rain chances for tomorrow have decreased since earlier this week. I can’t rule out a few spotty showers tomorrow, but most of the day is dry.

Highs tomorrow and Friday are in the mid to low-50s, with mostly to partly cloudy skies tomorrow, and partly cloudy skies Friday. Winds pick up Friday afternoon, and your weekend stays breezy to windy. Temperatures continue to cool into the weekend. Your St. Patty’s Day forecast is windy, with partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few flurries.

Have a wonderful night!
