Dense fog this morning with rain today and tonight

Good morning and happy Friday! We’re waking up to another morning with widespread fog across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Areas of fog are locally dense this morning, and a Dense Fog Advisory is in place now through noon.

Temperatures this morning are fortunately above freezing in the mid-30s, so widespread slick spots are not in the forecast) but you’ll still want to watch out for a few icy spots this morning.

Scattered rain showers are in the forecast today across the eastern half of Minnesota, with light showers becoming steadier throughout the day. Most of eastern Minnesota into Wisconsin could grab 0.25″ to 0.75″ of rainfall by early tomorrow morning.

Fog is likely again tonight, and temperatures stay mild in the low-40s today through your weekend forecast.
