UPDATE: State Patrol investigating fatal crash on Highway 169 in Minnetonka, both drivers identified

The Minnesota State Patrol says it is investigating a crash involving serious injuries that occurred on southbound Highway 169 at Bren Road in Minnetonka.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the southbound lane of the highway was closed at Excelsior Boulevard for several hours.

According to the crash report, a Chevrolet Suburban was headed north on Highway 169 just south of Londonderry Road when it crossed over the median into the southbound lanes.

A Volkswagen Jetta headed southbound collided head-on with the Suburban and both vehicles came to rest in the left lane of southbound Highway 169.

The driver of the Suburban, identified as 56-year-old Selmon Childs Rogers was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Jetta has been identified as 22-year-old Abdi Aden Isack from North Mankato.
