UPDATE: Police investigating shooting between 2 vehicles that closed down portion of Highway 169

The Maple Grove Police Department is investigating a report of the occupants of two vehicles shooting at each other on Highway 169 Thursday afternoon.

Highway 169 southbound in the northwest metro was blocked off due to the incident, according to MnDOT traffic cameras.

Maple Grove police say at around 1:17 p.m., officers were called to the area of Highway 169 and Interstate 694 on the report of the occpuants of two vehicles shooting at each other.

Officers located and stopped one of the vehicles and detained three juvenile suspects.

No reports have been made of anyone being struck by gunfire or injured in any way.

Highway 169 has since reopened.
