UPDATE: 2-vehicle crash along Hwy 65 in Athens Township reported as fatal

The Minnesota State Patrol reports a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 65 Tuesday morning was fatal.

The crash happened at about 7 a.m. at 269th Avenue, just south of Isanti in Athens Township.

According to an incident report, a Ford Taurus headed west was struck broadside by a northbound Toyota Rav4.

Additional information has not yet been released.

Meanwhile, a rollover crash in Woodbury Tuesday may have caused injuries.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said the crash happened along Valley Creek Road at Interstate 494.

Authorities were at the scene of the crash.

Specific information on whether anyone was hurt has not yet been released.
